For approximately 20 years Rowen Matchett worked in association with the late Gordie McMaster in a joint dog breeding program to give a bigger genetic pool from which to select their breeding dogs. Rowen has dogs rich in Wyreema bloodlines, i.e. Kooyong Brock who has Past Wyreema sires Cyprian Wagtail, Scanlons Butch, Kyneton John, Wyreema Gerry, Wyreema Sweeny, and Barnbar Sonny in his pedigree. Rowen, also had similar criteria when selecting dogs for his stud, looking for dogs with a calm temperament, that have trainability, versatility, cover and balance.
